Let’s all give a hearty welcome to Alabama’s newly formed Etowah County Rational Alliance! It’s more than difficult to publicly proclaim one’s atheism in the Bible Belt so we should all lend our support to groups such as these. If you live in an area that lacks a group for atheists, skeptics, humanists or freethinkers then by all means start your own. In fact, if you feel you need help in any way I’d be more than happy to lend a hand. We all need a place where we can go and not feel so alone in our way of seeing the world.
Personally, I’m still looking for a group up here in my area of BC but have had no luck so far so I just might start a group of my own once I’ve been here longer than a couple of weeks. If anyone in the Kelowna area wants to help or knows of a pre-existing group I failed to find I’d greatly appreciate it.
