Psychic Thrives in Recession

7 02 2009

Why are people spending their money on psychics during a recession? They’re seeking financial advice, according to Manhattan psychic Roxanne Usleman.

“It’s more types of people I have never seen before,” says Usleman. “Men in the business world, high-powered jobs, stock market, Wall Street.”

So, instead of going to an actual financial adviser, these businessmen are shelling out $135 dollars for an hour long session with a psychic. And she reportedly gives 5-6 readings a day. Not a bad living for someone whose only talent is ripping people off.

Does financial adviser Ryan Mack believe you should be spending your money on frivolous psychic readings? No. No, he does not.

“Regardless of what the stars say, regardless of what the map says in terms of — if Pluto is lined up with Mars,” says Mack. “You have the ability within yourself to save, to plan and to be diligent.”

Sounds like sound advice, Mr. Mack. I think I’ll save my $135.

Bugger, I thought the headline said “Physics…” but alas, I’m no psychic. Although, so far I do thrive under the recession, as I thrived before. :-)

Wouldn’t homeopathic aspirin make it worse? I thought you were supposed to take something that causes a headache and dilute it 60C so the water molecules can take on the active ingredient’s properties thereby making it more effective.

Head On. Apply Directly to the Forehead.
