Chiropractor Cure-Alls

What percentage of chiropractors listed in the phone book will claim they can cure AIDS? We’re doing the research. What’s your guess?

Okay, I’ll go first.

My guess is 17%. It will be a minority, but still large enough to be a both a huge embarrassment to the industry, and also too big for the industries associations to shun.

This is based on nothing but gut feel, so I look forward to hearing some evidence.

Hard to say really. It’s such a bold and dangerous claim that you’d really hope that any even slightly honest practisioner would shy away from it. But you just know there are enough money grabbing quacks out there ready to pounce on those in desperate need of any solution that they would indeed make such a claim. I really hope it 0%, but I’m going to go for 12%.

Which countries are you doing the research in?

So far I’ve only called chiropractors in the town in which I reside. The results are mixed but a little astounding.
